We all can use a little help at times. If life's challenges are impacting your ability - or your child's ability -  to live a fully successful life, I am a compassionate therapist who would be honored to work alongside you to overcome, or learn to work with, life's obstacles.

I am passionate about working with those who have experienced trauma, using trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) to address its lasting impact. I am experienced in working with children, adolescents, and teens in school and other settings and have collaborated with family systems, utilizing solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).

As a military veteran, I bring understanding of the military community and am honored to support service members, veterans, and their families on their journey toward healing and growth.

Alison is in her final year of earning her MSW at the University of Kentucky and is currently interning with Catharsis Counseling Center, bringing her closer to a dream she's held close for years—becoming a therapist. This path isn't just professional for her; it's deeply personal, shaped by her own experiences with loss, trauma, and the hard work of healing.

With a background in psychology and experience working with diverse populations—including autistic individuals, people with ADHD, and those navigating trauma—she has learned that there's no one-size-fits-all approach to wellness. She meets each person where they are, honoring the unique ways we all heal and grow. Her approach is holistic—she sees you as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms or struggles.

She values the mind-body connection and believes that sometimes our bodies hold what words can't quite reach. Healing can happen in many ways—through conversation, reflection, and simply noticing what we're experiencing.

What lights her up is witnessing transformation: watching someone move past what's been holding them back, discovering their own strength, building a life that feels right for them. She believes deeply in the power of connection—that we learn from each other, that we're stronger together, and that healing happens in relationship.

Outside of the therapy room, you'll find her practicing tai chi, creating abstract art, or playing with her dogs and cats—all practices that keep her grounded and present. Her goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely supported as you find your own path forward.
